Grifter Music was formed in November, 2006. The plan was officially hatched January 2007 and world domination is soon to follow. Rather than be 'genre specific', Grifter's main credo is there are only two 3 types of music - Great, OK and Just Plain Bad. Unfortunately, the world is filled with the latter two types. We will endeavour to stick to the first type.

President Dave 'Porter' Porter has spent many years within the walled gates of what is now known as Vivendi Universal, formerly known under such alibis as A&M, Polygram and Seagram Universal. After watching many artists he was interested in from an A&R standpoint being signed by that indie label entity known as Maple Music, he decided to 'get on the good foot' and joined forces with them in forming Grifter Music
